A Utopian Dream
Disclaimer:
I dont want to hurt anyones personal, philosophical or spiritual ideology (Please pardon me if I do so by any chance). This article doesnt promotoe hate to any individual or community rather it only wants to bring our species even closer
I wanted to share this very hypothetical utopian idea I have in my mind for some while. Recently out of nowhere I have discussed this idea with a bunch of friends and family as well, and wanted to share the overall gist of it.
I strongly believe the innate desire and purpose of our species is to answer these big questions that have kept us curious for the last 300k years or so (since the birth of our species). The questions go along these lines:
- Why does the universe exist?
- Why we exist?
- What or who is god if he exists? and more such fundamental questions.
This is the uncertainty and these are the questions I believe each of us has once had the urge to find out.
But when you actually go somewhere to find the answers you get the science stuff thrown at you that the universe started with the big bang 13.8 billion years ago, its now expanding at the rate of 68 to 73 km/s/Mpc (which btw just makes it even more terrifying because the galaxies stars and all are moving away from us and in the future our space endeavours will be limited to a couple of galaxies in our local group and later we will just get "isolated").
That is because nobody has a satisfactory answer to these questions yet they just have theories and hypotheses to make themselves happy, but deep down everyone is searching for these answers they are just distracted by their daily lives to try and find it.
My Utopia
My personal believe is that maybe not in a 1000, 1000000 or 1000000000... years but sometime in the future humanity will find answers to these. (And if you are gonna say we would be wiped out by then, in my utopia I believe our species is intelligent and capable enough to survive any threats to it, even if our planet is wiped out even if our star system is gone there will always be a human base somewhere in the universe)
But to accelerate to that point in the future, in my Utopia I believe if humans were not separated by boundaries of any countries, religions or their personal ideas rather united as one powerful force to find these answers we would get there much much faster.
In my world no human hates another because there is no reason to hate we are all part of the same species and we all have the same common goal that unites us. The world is a big family with everyone supporting anything required to achieve our combined goal.
Everyone doing what they are needed to do without any personal desires or greed.
Its like we need to make a rocket to land on "X" planet, So the scientist and engineer wont have to wait for funds and get approvals they would just get the materials transported to them by the manufacturer who gets his raw materials from the miners and they do this without money because food is secured as the farmers grow crops for everyone, the milkman farms milk for everyone. With all the people (so many scientists and capable people) we could even boost agriculture productivity so high food will be secured for everyone. I hope you get the point, I know its so hard to imagine the world without money or any form of exchange system but this is a "hypothetical scenario".
In this world people are even willing to sacrifice themselves if required for the progression of our endeavour. (Controversial part: If a sacrifice is required a person who cannot contribute any further to the cause is selected and everyone even the person himself agrees to being sacrificed selflessly in the name of progress)
With so much fast progress we would get to a point where almost everything is automated by science then humans can just spend all their time and energy united into finding the big answers, and we reach their much faster than any prediction any of us could make.
This is a hypothetical utopian sscenario, I dont expect you to agree with this
Some questions I faced when I put forth this idea
- What happens after we get the answers?
#I say depends on the answers - So you would sacrifice someone else rather than yourself, Whats so selfless in that?
#If I cant contribute any further am willing to be the sacrifice myself, the people required for the future must survive
Many many more questions these were the ones on top of my head.
Thanks for reading my crazy perspective!
